Sweet Coconut and Jaggery Flatbread (Coconut Poli)
Today, I will share with you an amazing healthy recipe that is not only delicious but also packed with numerous health benefits. It's a dish that everyone enjoys, and I especially love it, as do my friends.

Mixing bowl for kneading the dough.
Non-Stick Pan for roasting the coconut and making the stuffing.
Rolling Pin for rolling out the dough into discs.
Tawa or griddle for cooking the poli.
Spoon for stirring and drizzling oil/ghee.
Plate for cooling the coconut-jaggery mixture.
Measuring Cups and Spoons for accurate measurement of ingredients.
- 1½ cups whole wheat flour
- 4 tsps oil + for drizzling
- ¾ cup scraped fresh coconut
- ½ cup jaggery powder
- ½ tsp green cardamom powder
- A pinch nutmeg powder
- Ghee for drizzling
Combine entire wheat flour, 2 tsp oil, and ½ glasses water and manipulate to a delicate batter. Sprinkle the remaining oil and manipulate once more. Cover and set aside for 1-2 hours.
For the stuffing, cook coconut in a non-stick container till the dampness vanishes and turns light brilliant brown.
Include jaggery powder, green cardamom powder, nutmeg powder and blend and cook till the jaggery softens. Exchange on to a plate and permit the blend to cool to room temperature.
Separate the mixture into rise to parcels and shape each parcel into a ball. Stuff each ball with a parcel of the stuffing and press the edges to seal. Sprinkle oil on beat and roll into little circles.
Warm a non-stick tawa, put the plates and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side, sprinkle with ghee on both sides.
Orchestrate on a serving plate, serve hot with ghee.
Oil/Ghee: Use pure original ghee for the best flavor and health benefits.
Storage: You can keep it at room temperature for a few days. For longer storage, use the refrigerator.
Cooking Temperature: Cook the poli on medium heat to prevent burning and achieve the best quality.
Stuffing Variation: Adjust jaggery based on your sweetness preference. You can also add chopped nuts or raisins to the coconut stuffing for added texture.
Serving Suggestions: Serve hot with a drizzle of ghee. They can also be enjoyed with yogurt or a sprinkle of powdered sugar for extra sweetness.
